We took some birthday pictures of Grandpa and the Doodle but getting both of them to look at the camera at the same time was a bit like trying to get your cat to come when you call :) We got some cute ones, anyway.
When it came time to cut the cake, Grandpa said he didn't want to blow out candles but, well, Maggie knows how this birthday thing goes now. So, Grandpa had candles. Maggie just watched, but once it was all over she insisted, "I b-yow cand-yull" (I blow candle). I have photographic proof otherwise but the girl had fun, so what does it really matter. We all just agreed with her, anyway :)
